Dear Family and Friends, I am very happy to be able to participate in the Melabev Sunset Hike for Alzheimer's Care in Israel on June 27 this year. As I didn't solicit support for the MS Walk this year, I'm requesting support for Melabev in their work providing support for those with dementia and their caregivers to help enable them to live dignified lives. I've been to their day care centers in Israel and have seen the caring support offered, providing stimulation and structure in a community setting to enhance well being. It also provides a community setting for the caregiver and family, reducing the isolation of caregiving. The hike itself will be in the beautiful and historic hills of Jerusalem, walking by natural springs and the remains of ancient agriculture with wonderful scenic views of the hills and valleys of Jerusalem, a trip I took by jeep during Pesach when the wildflowers were in bloom, Your support towards helping those least able to help themselves, who initially come from all over the world and are receiving loving care in Israel, will be greatly appreciated.
